Fees

All projects are individual in their own right therefore it is not possible to quote a one price fits all fee.

Our fee is calculated on the basis of our standard comprehensive package which includes all the work stages listed below, however, should you request only parts of the comprehensive package then we will calculate a fee on that basis.

Comprehensive package work stages:

  • Initial Client Consultation
  • Carrying out a complete measured and photographic survey of the site.
  • Providing an outline design for Client approval.
  • Providing detailed plans for Local Authority Planning Department Approval.
  • Providing detailed plans for Local Authority Building Control Department Approval.
  • Providing Structural Engineer's calculations for Local Authority Approval.
  • Preparation and submission of Planning Application to the Local Authority.
  • Preparation and submission of Building Regulation Application to the Local Authority.
  • Application(s) monitoring.
  • Liaison with Local Authority Planning and Building Control Departments.
  • Advising Client on budget requirements.
  • Notification of Approval(s) to Client.

Planning Information

When measuring the height of a building, you must measure from the highest ground level immediately adjacent to the building, unless you are measuring volume.

With respect to permitted development, in certain circumstances, existing buildings can count against your volume allowances. For example, if your extension comes within 5m of another building belonging to your house, then that building will count against your allowance.
